Sorry, too busy searching for a meme to show how little I care.

Great band! Diverse too!

Silent Alarm is a gem and their second album is pretty good.
Haven't listen to their other albums but should give them another spin.

I liked them a lot, especially that guitar sound, although it was all diminishing returns after the first album - much like the Strokes. I even saw them live on some kind of NME tour, I think, Haven't heard anything of them this decade, surprised to find they are still going. Kele always came over as a bit of a tit, too.

Ok. Saw them in Seattle 15 yrs ago, randomly. They put on a good show. The guitar player was pretty inventive.
I don’t listen to them now though

There seemed to be a few bands round about the same time that the same could be said for too. Black Rebel Motorcycle Club for one. The Killers managed to pen a few decent later numbers - but not many. Interpol? Razorlight? Pft. don't even go there.

Bought the first album which had a few good tracks, as I always do I then bought the next couple before deciding the singer had the most annoying, whiney voice possible and can't even listen to them now.

I sussed out right away they were nothing special. I'd already stopped buying the latest critical sensations so didn't feel I had some duty to work on these things like so many on here.

The NME endorsed them which tells you everything you need to know.

Part of the noughties Post-Punk re-enactment society. Pointless.

I really liked them at the time. They were the second/third wave of that post-Libertines scene with Franz Ferdinand, Futureheads, Interpol, Kaiser Chiefs et al.
They haven't aged particularly well. Interpol is the only one that still sounds interesting to me now.

Still enjoy Interpol, but their subsequent albums have delivered diminishing returns, good live though.
Franz Ferdinand are still good, and were brilliant live the other week.
Never did like The Futureheads, a career built on their novelty cover of Hounds Of Love.
Enjoyed Kaiser Chiefs on and off until their absolutely awful last album.
