It's great, but it's not better than Ghost Town.

Nah, that sounds like a David Essex B-side.
Like fast-moving clouds casting shadows against a hillside, the melody-loop shuddered with a sense of the sublime, the awful unknowable majesty of the world.

This is probably the best track from "Virgins & Philistines" :

But the whole album is tremendous.

They may not have bettered "Ghost Town" individually, but I think I'd take that album over either of The Specials two.

I don't have that album, but I'll track it down.

I just have a couple of Terry Hall comps that feature half a dozen Colourfield songs each.

I like all the Special offshoots Terry Hall was involved in. His 2003 album with Mushtaq of Fun-Da-Mental is very enjoyable.

It's alright..a bit drippy. There are many Specials tracks I'd take above it and a fair few from The Funboy Three too.

It's probably the weakest track on the album.

Of course it is.

I don’t, no.

Why don’t you post all the tracks here and we can have an adult debate about which is the weakest? :)

You can look it up on You Tube.

And then you'll probably be in a position to comment.

Watch out for the far reaching chords though, won't you now.

It is a great album, but it is not even close to the Specials debut.

Nah, it’s ok light pop but it’s not anyway better than GT or a lot of what the Specials did.

Specials piss all over that tune.

Thinking of you is quite good, but not as good as most of the specials' singles. Terry Hall's album with Mushtaq is ace, however.

Terry's every LP is sprinkled with fairy dust. I love them all.

It's a nice track. Ideally suited for the musical number on Pebble Mill at One.

As The Colourfield he did do some more interesting numbers but, as my learned colleagues say, it's 3rd down the list to The Specials and FB3
