Re: OY ANGE! OY G!
I'm certainly not chasing any of them up.
People are full of good intentions and then - nothing. It's a shame really but fairly typical of the laziness and apathy that characterises this part of the board these days.

Well most people are a little busy at this time of year...
Not me though, I'll happily do another one Can witter on at length about any of these
Misunderstood - I Can Take You to the Sun
Jan & Dean - Dead Man's Curve or AA&CSCBR&TA
Proper soul music - Ben E King, maybe. Irma Thomas? Dee Dee Warwick?
Drifters - Up on the Roof
Mercury Rev - Empire State
J Frank Wilson & the Cavaliers - Last Kiss
Somebody, anybody, make a suggestion of one of these or one of the others mentioned earlier and I'll cook something up.
Merry Xmas John

You're a fucking idiot sometimes, John. Most people are pretty damn busy, they're not all on the Preston to Carlisle train hoping to take a month off to write that book. People have jobs, lives, families and to do this properly and do it justice takes time, takes thinking, takes care.
Any "laziness and apathy" I've had towards the board over the last few years is down to the two factors of being incredibly busy and not wanting to post on the same board as people like you.

I wasn't being hectoring here, I only wanted to ensure it carried forth. I'll write another soon, and it probably won't have all the sentimental nonsense behind it, either, I'll have to write something about the song.
Like fast-moving clouds casting shadows against a hillside, the melody-loop shuddered with a sense of the sublime, the awful unknowable majesty of the world.

Wait. We have to write about something with a tune? I'm out.

Merry Fucking Christmas!
Anyway, I do want to do it properly and am pretty ridiculously busy these days. But I'll get on it in the next couple days.
(At least one, maybe more.)
