There is a memorial plaque for John Entwistle in the halls of the Hard Rock Hotel in Las Vegas that reads "1950-2001" at the bottom of it.
1. Entwistle was born in 1944
2. He died in 2002
3. His 2002 death occurred IN THAT HOTEL.
One Who fan that wrote to them about it received a response that said someone had already alerted them and "it is great to know so many people are paying attention."
this IS disgraceful!! Those dates were very easily checked. Is this a case of rushing to get something up that they thought would add some fame to their hotel?

I've just bought the 2003 Demon reissue of Loudon Wainwright's More Love Songs.
The track Expatriate is misspelt as Expatriot four times on the cover/booklet and again on the label.

I can't believe I never caught that!
Is this a matter of the artist having been so concentrated that he lost track of the proper lettering itself (the sequencing etc.)? It happens in tattooing, in street lettering... IIRC there are some funny results on Google to be found. It happened to this person on a few occasions (in drawing gift paper for surprises for birthdays, and so on). At one point you've come too far to start again qua sheer effort, or a new attempt is too costly or simply not possible for time reasons, paint has dried, whatever... and you hope no one notices.
On the whole, I'd rather be in Wallenpaupack.

This one drove me mad when I was a kid - it was one of the posters that you got with Dark Side of the Moon.
The photos are reversed, making Gilmour and Waters left handed.

Truth be told, the song was never called "Expatriate", so maybe it's deliberate.

Don't know if this counts as a "typo," but the booklet for the Repertoire Records double-CD reissue of Odessey And Oracle compounds the original mistake by lopping off the final "E" of the title... not to mention the first two letters of "Colin"!

"Are graphic designers just chronically bad spellers?"
Enough already...
Graphic designers are... designers, they're not copywriters. They don't do 'words', they put all the elements together, they don't write the text, that's the writer, y'know... the person who 'DOES THE WORDS'.
The word 'typo' is the disingenuous. It's not a typographical error, it's not the wrong typeface, it's not Italic when it should be Roman, it's a LITERAL error. It's spelt wrongly... that's not the fault of the 'designer, it's the person who wrote it.

Someone told the designer "there's an extra E in the title" and he didn't think to check which one was the "extra".

Also, the colors have been changed. The flower under the "d" is orange instead of green.

That's an anomaly of the jpeg - the actual booklet looks truer to the original.

Saw this one posted today on Facebook. I think they said it was a Turkish pressing of this album.
Where would rock 'n' roll be without feedback?
