Famous in the UK for one huge hit, he has put away his fiddle.

Lot more to ole Charlie than Devil went down to Georgia...

Amazed when I found out he played with Leonard Cohen’s touring band in the early 70s and had played bass and guitar on three Late 60s Dylan albums

Made his name playing on Bob Dylan's Nashville Skyline, and produced The Youngbloods' Elephant Mountain.

A right wing crank in later years, though hardly the worst of that ilk.

I saw him play with the Marshall Tucker Band in the '70s and I have albums he guested on but that was as far as I got with him.
